Education is a very important part of the Patient Outreach Program. Texas NF Foundation organizes an annual educational symposium for patients and their families. The one-day symposium features a variety of speakers such as doctors, researchers, counselors and patients. Information is provided on various topics of interest to people and families dealing with this devastating disease. The symposium also offers a Kids’ Konference which is specifically designed to offer children afflicted with NF a special day of activities, entertainment, and special treats.
